“الإمارات: لا تعني تطبيعاً
للمرة الأولى.. علم إسرائيل يُرفع في أبوظبي
كشفت وزارة الخارجية الإسرائيلية [أقول أنا فرناس: لاحظ في تاريخ الستين سنة الماضية أن أول من يفضح دولنا العربية وممارساتها "الحبية !!" مع الصهاينة هي إسرائيل. انتهى] عن مشاركة وفد إسرائيل في اجتماعات اللجنة الإدارية للوكالة الدولية للطاقة المتجددة (إيرينا) التي بدأت في العاصمة الإماراتية أبوظبي الاثنين الماضي. وقالت الوزارة إن هذا الاجتماع هو الأول للوكالة في المدينة، التي تقرر أن تكون مقراً للوكالة، بموافقة ممثلي 130 دولة. وأشارت إلى أن إسرائيل شاركت بعضوين هما سيمونا هلفرين، مديرة حقوق الإنسان [أقول أنا فرناس: نحن أمة ضحكت من جهلها الأمم. هم يسخرون من هذا المؤتمر، ولكن لا حياة لمن تنادي. انتهى] والمنظمات الدولية بوزارة الخارجية، وإبراهام أربيف، المسؤول في وزارة البنى التحتية. وأوضحت أنه جرى استقبال المندوبين الإسرائيليين على قدم المساواة كباقي الأعضاء، رغم عدم وجود علاقات دبلوماسية بين دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وإسرائيل، مشيراً إلى أن (علم إسرائيل رفرف للمرة الأولى في تلك الدولة) ويقصد الإمارات. وتناقلت وسائل الإعلام الإسرائيلية النبأ، مشددة على أن (علم إسرائيل رفرف في أبوظبي). إلى ذلك، اعلن مسؤول اماراتي ان مشاركة اسرائيل في اجتماع دولي في ابو ظبي لا تعني تطبيعاً للعلاقات بين دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة والدولة العبرية“. للمصدر، رجاءً إضغط هنا.
Your association of the Emirates’ latest meeting with Israel and our inferior status within the eyes of the world - as Arabs - is wrong. There is zero correlation between the two since there are sundry countries - all over the world - who have normalized relations with Israel yet have consistently stood against it since it incorporates terrorism against indigenous civilians.
Our inferior status, as Arabs, results from having governments and rulers who, rather than seek our benefit and the benefit of the land and ultimately their own benefit as well .. are rulers whose abnormal status of power and governing is depriving the Arab citizen his dignity and potential to succeed.
There is, however, a correlation between this meeting and Israel’s future actions towards the Palestinians living in the occupied territories and of those whose right of return is not yet granted.
It was wrong, naturally, for this meeting to occur. Despite their atrocious leader qualities, our governments have had the (common sense?) to oppose normalization with Israel since the latter proclaims - every single day - that Arab blood is worthless.
Therefore, the meeting raises the alarming question of what might happen when all our leaders grant normalization and by that, officially agree with what Israel has been stating for over six decades now.
That Arab blood is worthless.
But then again, we Arab citizens are told exactly that by our ruling governments, day after day, year after year.
Norman Finkielstein, who I’m sure you’ve heard of given your consistent discourse on Palestine (to your credit as an intellectual) has gone further than you have by proclaiming the inferior status of our leaders when they ally with Western countries who side with Israel, mainly the United States.
But this alliance is merited since it is in the interest of both parties. It is within the United States’ interest to dominate Middle Eastern oil resources and within our governments’ interest to keep its public hugely ignorant, impoverished, and repressed, with the blessing, support, and of course military backup of the almighty Uncle Sam.
My stance on this is that Palestine is no longer an \Arab issue\ but a worldwide humanitarian one since the indigenous Palestinians are the only group of people - in the twenty first century - that still have to argue that they’re human beings who deserve to live, which is a pretty frightening argument that any people may hold, during the time where animals rights and the environment have been ranked as crucial issues.
I have also noted that the Palestinian cause is often handled - with great esteem - by dedicated Muslims, to their credit as well. I also found that many intellectuals or seemingly aware citizens have cowardly chose to turn a blind eye when it comes to Palestine, which is rather obscene. What is more obscene - actually downright filthy - is how seemingly aware people willingly side with Israel, proclaiming it to be a democratic and first world country.
Now this I do not understand.
By simply proclaiming itself as the Jewish State, Israel is no longer democratic but discriminating. And by willfully murdering innocent indigenous civilians, Israel can no longer be classified as a first- world country.
The only people who do - publicly and privately - oppose Israel are Muslim groups, humanitarian and courageous intellectuals like yourself, leftist Israeli citizens, and enlightened Jewish folks. The rest, the rest are cowardly and ignorant.
It is our job, as intellectuals, to do exactly what you just did. I’m quite proud of this post.

I think we also lack a clear understanding of documentary record. Arab and Muslim intellectuals, sadly, do not know about the facts regarding the Palestinian situation. I think we also lack organization. It seems to me that liberals do not participate in the opposition campaigns to differentiate themselves from religious movements. And to appear to the western world as enlightened individuals. In both cases, it is moral hypocrisy in its highest expression.

In the contrary, the correlation is quite obvious. What went wrong is that you have missed the whole point of the post. However, if you don’t mind, I would like to switch back to Arabic so we give a chance to other readers who have difficulties in English to follow our discussion here. Since you can read and comprehend Arabic, I do appreciate, if you can, using Arabic in your comments. I love English and I don’t mind it at all, however, since this blog is directed towards Arabic speaking audience, let us try our best to engage with each other in this particular language for the sake of those great followers.

أعتقد أن جوهر الإعتراض الذي أتى في مداخلتك كان يصب أساساً حول نقطة يتيمة وهي أنني ربطت حالة التدهور في الحالة العربية مع ما حدث في الإمارات على أنها السبب المباشر. وهذا غير صحيح ولم أقصده أصلاً ولم يأتي أساساً فيما كتبته أنا أعلاه. ما حدث في الإمارات هو عَرَض أو مظهر وليس المرض ولا أسبابه. هذا أصلاً واضح من العنوان الذي استخدمته أنا في الموضوع والرسم الكاريكاتيري الذي تلاه . المسألة تدور حول التباين الشاسع بين الموقف الظاهر أو الخافي وبين الشعارات التي ترفعها دولنا العربية منذ ستين سنة وحتى هذه اللحظة. وضمن هذا السياق أتى البوست الذي وضعته قبل يومين عن الملك حسين. العلاقة هنا واضحة تماماً وتنطبق بشكل جيد جداً على ما أردت أن أوضحه، وهو التباين بين الفعل والشعار والذي أدى فيما يؤدي إلى غياب المصداقية وعدم الأخذ بجدية أي موقف ينتج من الدول العربية. وهذا مشاهد أصلاً على أرض الواقع، ولن أغوص في التاريخ البعيد ولكن يكفيني الإشارة للحرب الهمجية على لبنان واحداث بيت حانون والهجمة غير الأخلاقية البربرية الوحشية على غزة والتي أدانتها مؤسسات حقوق الإنسان شرقاً وغرباً ولم تتحرك شعرة في جسد الوطن العربي بسببها. هذا هو المقصود يا عزيزي/ عزيزتي.
فيما عدى هذه النقطة أنا أتفق تماماً على أغلب ما تفضلت / تفضلتي بطرحه في مداخلتك. فالخلاصة هي الإرتكاز على سبب وحيد لتفسير حالة الإنهيار السياسي العربي هو خطأ على مستوى التحليل وعلى مستوى النقد وعلى مستوى الفهم، وكما أشارت إلى ذلك ضمناً مداخلتك المميزة. لا أختلف هنا بتاتاً. فكل القضايا من عودة اللاجئين ونهاية بمسألة القدس والحدود وطبيعة الدولة الفلسطينية وحالة نزع السلاح الفلسطيني في حال قيام الدولة وغيرها من القضايا هي أمور جوهرية وتلعب فيها بعض الدول العربية دور العميل المزدوج، هذا واضح لكل منصف. كما أن حالة السلام لا يمكن أن تأتي بقرار سياسي فقط وإلا لأنتهت بحالة شاذة كما هو الحال في المجتمع المصري والأردني، وهذا في حد ذاته إشكالية عويصة لا يريد أن يفهمها حكام العرب ولا حتى قطاع عريض من شعوبهم. أما مسألة التحليل الذي أشرت إليه لنورمان فنكيلستاين، فللأسف، ما قاله هو ليس جديد ولا هي رؤية عميقة للوضع العربي لسبب بسيط. كل ثورة قامت في الوطن العربي منذ الخمسينات وحتى هذا العقد في موريتانيا كانت تستعمل بالضبط نفس المفهوم لتبرير انقلاباتها والتي تفضل به علينا السيد نورمان. لا جديد هنا. بل إن كتابات هيكل ذاتها تطفح بهذا المفهوم لتبرير كثير من الأعمال في أيام جمال عبد الناصر.
الخلاصة هنا، اعتقد بأن الوضع العربي غير قابل للتحليل ضمن مقالة احتوت على عشرة اسطر ورسم كاريكاتيري، وإنما كانت تشير إلى حالة أو عَرَض أو مظهر بسبب مواقف ماضية استمرت ضمن زمان ومكان مختلفين وذات استمرارية استمرت عقود. كما أن التركيز على سبب واحد للتحليل، وكما أشرت أنت إليه ضمناً، هو خطأ وليس منهجاً صحيحاً. كما انني اتفق وبشدة على أغلب ما جاء في مداخلتك الثانية والتي اضافت عمقاً بلا شك على الموضوع.

اتفق بشدة يا عزيزي / عزيزتي مع ما تفضلت بطرحه في مداخلتك. مشكلة الليبراليين للأسف أنهم منخرطون بكل طاقاتهم في قضايا أصبحت بعيدة عن ضمير الرأي العام لعموم الشعب. فينما ينخرط الإسلاميون في نشاط محموم للدفاع عن قضايا الأمة نجد ويا الأسف الليبراليون يقدمون أنفسهم وكأنهم عملاء للجانب الأمريكي. وهذا خطأ قاتل، كلفنا وسوف يكلفنا الكثير
